  This group is not connected to whether the Developer tab is showed or not. The Developer tab comprises additional commands connecting to Visual Basic and can be showed by selecting (File > Options) (Customize Ribbon, "Show Developer tab in Ribbon"). If you want to add or edit worksheet controls then you will need to show the Developer tab. This can be showed by choosing (Office Button > Word Options)(Popular tab, "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon"). I would have thought this tab would have confined all the commands connecting to macros as well, but three of the macro commands are available on the View tab. Code Visual Basic  - (Alt + F11). Opens the Visual Basic Editor permitting you to generate and edit VBA macros. Macros   - (Alt + F8). Shows the "Macro" dialog box permitting you to run, edit and delete macros. Record Macro  - Records a macro . There is also a shortcut to this in the bottom left of the application window

This tab delivers commands previously found in the View menu and Window menu. Views This group comprises all the commands relating to the different ways you can view your documents. Read Mode  - Maximises the Word window on the screen and removals all toolbars etc to allow easy reading. Print Layout   - Shows the document as it would appear if printed and is the default view. Web Layout  - Shows the document as it would appear as a web page. Outline   - Shows the document as an outline is shows the Outlining contextual tab. Draft  - Shows the document in draft mode allowing for quick editing. When using this view certain aspects of the document are not visible, for example any headers or footers .   Immersive Learning Tools  - Show Ruler   - Toggles the Position of the ruler(s). Review tab offers instructions formerly found on the Reviewing toolbar, Comments toolbar, Protection toolbar & Tools menu. Proofing                                                          Spelling & Grammar  - Shows the "Spelling and Grammar" dialog box. This allows you to check the spelling and grammar in the active document. Research  – It snaps the display of the Research task pane. Thesaurus  – It snaps the display of the Research task pane defaulting the research service to the thesaurus. Translate  - Toggles the display of the Research task pane defaulting the research service to the translation. Translation  Screen-tip  - Drop-Down. The drop-down contains the commands.
